Pulmonary Infections and Pathogens

The axis Pulmonary Infections and Pathogens includes researchers interested in pathogenic bacteria (tuberculosis, Legionnaire's disease, Haemophilus, Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Pseudomonas), molds causing allergic infections and pneumopathies, and viral pathogens (Influenza, Adenovirus, Sendai Virus, Syncitial Virus) Respiratory, Rhinovirus, Coronavirus) that may affect the respiratory system. Researchers in this area are also interested in the interactions between pathogens and the host in cystic fibrosis, determine the best strategies for using antibiotics to prevent the emergence of microbial resistance and are working to identify new antigens for the development of effective vaccines.
