
The LongVentKids Study is an international point prevalence study conducted in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). The purpose of the LongventKids study is to reveal and describe the prevalence of demographic background and care provided to patients with prolonged mechanical ventilation (PMV) in PICUs. The study involves 263 centers in 42 countries and measures several data on patients included. Patients are 18 years of age or younger and are under mechanical ventilation for more than 6 hours per day, based on invasive ventilation and NIV, on the day of the study.
