A cell type-selective hierarchy for regulation of the CFTR gene

Abstract: Recent progress using functional genomics approaches has generated a cell type-selective model for regulation of expression of the CFTR gene. The talk will present new data on the cis regulatory elements, transcription factor and structural features that are required to coordinate CFTR expression in secretory cells in the airway and intestinal epithelium. The model provides valuable information for the development of gene-editing therapeutics.
